Essexia is a little known planet situated in the Ultima Segmentum. The planet itself is divided into two halves. Both halves of the planet provide the armies of Essexia with the materials they need to wage war.
The northern hemisphere contains vast hive cities and manufacturing facilities to prove the weapons and vehicles that are used by the Essexian regiments to kill in the name of the Emperor. The southern hemisphere is dotted with agricultural domes that feed the vast armies. The division of between North and South in the past threatened to engulf the planet in civil war, only the timely intervention of Eldar seers stopped the civil war. Once they had agreed to work in harmony for the glory of thier world the armies of the North turned on the Eldar and destroyed everyone of them.
Discipline amongst the Essexian regiments is very low, with fights breaking out between various units commonplace. Therefore a Commissar is usually attached to every Essexian regiment, for those regiments with particularly bad discipline issues more than one Commissar will be attached.
It is well known that Essexian Officers are more likely to survive contact with the enemy than their own Commissars.
Despite the discipline problems they fight with every ounce of their souls to destroy those that don't fight for the Emperor's cause. They will continue to do so until the end of their lives.

Pre-Heresy World Eaters Assault Squad and Captain
First Assault Squad finished (minus Drop Pod, bases and transfers)
Axe haft replaced with bottom half of a Terminator Warding Stave handle.
Very nicely done. Did you use Badab Black Wash for the shading on the white? As I like the effect it does. Also what blue did you use? Because it is so bright and go's really well with the white.
Cheers. Shading on the white is a watered down wash of Badab Black, need to be careful they don't look too grey if the wash isn't watered enough. The blue is Enchanted Blue straight over the white undercoat and washed with Asurman Blue. ~Pettsy~
